Yes I just quoted The Offspring …the reason being that without a doubt if I listen to this song on repeat it lifts my mood. Something about this song makes me lift out of my mind and into a head nodding happiness.
I guess I have realised this year that it is important to know what ones go-to mood lifters are.
Life hasn’t been the easiest lately… I forgot how much I reject change, and well having 7 weeks left until my life in Sheffield ends has been slightly (read massively) hard to process.
Sheffield City Hall- I spent an hour or two sitting, listening to music and watching people walk by.
Weirdly though I love moving houses and discovering new places. I love the decorating of rooms and re-discovering of belongings that happens with packing. I love finding new beautiful hidden places and coffee shops and such like.
I love the adventure of moving on, but hate the feeling I am leaving behind such an awesome life.
So I am making many a list- lists are good for the soul I think.
Lists about packing, lists of presents, lists of life admin, lists of what I need to throw away, lists of what I want to read/ watch, lists of what I want to do in Sheffield before I leave.
Lists are helping.
Also I will leave you with something that is a massive mood lifter for me…a bible verse that has followed me around and is now etched on my arm.
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them.
I will turn darkness into light before them, and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do for them.
I will not forsake them!
It gives me peace because when all I see is pitch black, He sees the light and will lead me there.
